News Updates
On October 1, 2006, I reached the summit of Mt. Cho Oyu, the sixth highest peak in the world at 8201 meters (26,906 feet). Located in the Himalayas, Cho Oyu is just 20 km (12.5 miles) from Mt. Everest, right on the border between Tibet and Nepal. In total, the climb took 6 weeks; we departed Long Beach on August 25 and flew back October 5, just in time for me to make it to New York to celebrate my eighteenth birthday.
